About Jessica:
Jessica is an Occupational Therapist and founder of Playworks OT. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2009, she entered the Public Health System. She worked in various roles, specialising in Neurological Rehabilitation working with both young and older adults. Jessica transitioned into Paediatrics in 2021 and has more recently enjoyed supporting children in private practice, schools, kindergartens, homes, and clinic-based settings.
She has a special interest in using a neurodiversity-affirming model to work with older children, adolescents, and young adults. She loves to educate and support children and young people in understanding their own neurology and developing self-advocacy skills. Jessica uses a combination of evidence-based practice and lived experience perspectives to guide her therapy. She has a rich, Neuro-spicy family background.
