Our Story

Nestled in the picturesque suburb of Kilsyth, Melbourne, Inner Light Allied Health Clinic is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and supporting each individual on their health journey. At the heart of our practice are the values of respect, compassion, autonomy, and connection.

Inner Light Allied Health Clinic was born out of the shared vision of two passionate professionals, Larney and Kathleen. Both were working as sole traders when they decided to combine their expertise and compassion to create a safe and warm team environment where all differences are celebrated. Their journey began at university, where they quickly became friends over their shared interests in mental health and dogs. This bond grew stronger as they trained puppies into therapy dogs, an experience that deepened their understanding of the profound connection between mental health and the human-animal bond. Our clinic offers animal assisted therapy, with therapy dogs playing a vital role in our services.

In 2024, Larney and Kathleen decided to turn their dream into reality by forming Inner Light Allied Health. Their goal was to establish a hub for Allied Health Services that offers support and a nurturing environment, where differences are not just acknowledged but deeply appreciated. They envisioned a clinic that embodies the spirit of inclusivity and warmth, ensuring that every individual who walks through their doors feels valued and understood. Our clinic provides a variety of evidence based services including talk therapy, play therapy, and assessment such as Autism assessment and ADHD testing for both children and adults. We are a neurodiverse affirming practice, committed to supporting neurodiverse individuals with an inclusive approach.

Today, Inner Light Allied Health Clinic stands as a testament to Larney and Kathleen’s dedication and friendship, providing comprehensive care with a personal touch. Their commitment to fostering a community of respect, compassion, and connection continues to drive their mission. If you're looking to find a psychologist in Kilsyth, Victoria, our clinic is here to help. We also provide services for NDIS participants, ensuring that we can support individuals with a range of needs. For those seeking animal assisted therapy in Melbourne or psychological assessment in Melbourne, Inner Light Allied Health Clinic is your trusted partner in care.
